The good news is that you can reduce it with the following 3 steps:
1. RINSE BEFORE COOKING – at least one minute under cold running water - especially tinned beans and lentils
2. SOAK OVERNIGHT - if you’re using dried beans or lentils, soaking them overnight (or at least 4 hours) then rising them washes away those gas producing carbohydrates – this is how we process our beans and lentils in all of our products.
3. INTRODUCE THEM SLOWLY – small amounts at first allows your gut bacteria time to adjust, then slowly increase which will manage flatulence more effectively!
